Bill O’Brien, President
William (Bill) O'Brien is a lifelong Stratford resident. He is a graduate of Fairfield Prep and the University of New Haven. Bill served with the Marine Corps in Chu Lai, Vietnam and with the Marine Detachment aboard the USS Yorktown. He has worked at Sterling House Community Center since 1995 and is currently the Athletic Director and Senior Program Director. He has coached lacrosse, baseball, softball, soccer and basketball and volunteered for many civic organizations. Bill currently is a member of the Stratford Parks & Recreation Committee, President of the Stratford Youth Sports Association, a member of Stratford Rotary, and a volunteer with the Fairfield County Sports Commission. A Board Member of the Stratford Community Fund since 2002, Bill is the current President.


Charles “Chuck” Lindberg, Vice President
A lifetime Stratford resident, Chuck is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and is employed as vice president or corporate communications for a nonprofit located in New Haven, Conn. He has volunteered in the Stratford community for more than 30 years having served as PTA/PTSA president at Stratford Academy, Wooster Middle School, and Stratford High School, and as a board member for the Stratford YMCA, the Roosevelt Forest Commission, and was elected as a member of the Stratford Board of Education where he served as vice chairman from 2009-2013. He is also a member of the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven.


Patricia "Patty" Gallagher, Treasurer
Patty Gallagher is a lifelong resident of Stratford. She resides here with her husband Sean, son Brendan, and 3 labs- Reilly, Murphy and Clancy. Patty is Vice President and Branch Manager of Milford Bank's Stratford office located at 2366 Main St.


Currently, Patty is a board member and treasurer of the Perry House Foundation, Vice-President Elect of the Stratford Rotary Club, board member of the Stratford Chamber of Commerce and the Stratford Community Fund. She has been a mentor in the Stratford School System for the past 6 years.


Patty is the daughter of Emmett and Kathleen Spillane of Stratford, CT. In her spare time, she enjoys playing softball, spending time with family and friends, crocheting, and golfing.


Hal Baird, Secretary

Hal and his wife Martha have been Stratford residents since 1976.  A graduate of Sacred Heart University, majoring in Sociology, Hal spent twenty six years of his career with SNET (which was taken over by AT&T), four years with Sterling House Community Center, and many years as an on air personality for various radio stations throughout the area.  Now retired, Hal spends much of his time involved in various community activities.  At his church, Stratford United Methodist, he is Music Chairperson, and he serves on the Worship, Memorial, and Fellowship of Fun Committees.  He is secretary for the Sterling House Association and statistician for the Center’s high school basketball league.  Hal sings in three choirs and as a soloist with the Fairfield Elderberries and he plays English hand bells in two choirs.  Hal is the public address announcer for most Stratford High School sports and for the Stratford Brakettes, women’s major fast pitch softball team.  He is operations director for the Trumbull studio of CRIS, the Connecticut Radio Information System, where he reads the news to the blind.  He serves as a Justice of the Peace for the state of Connecticut.  He is a lifelong Red Sox fan.


Diane Barber
Since moving to Stratford in 1998, Diane has been busy at work with different community organizations.  She is a member of the Stratford Rotary Club, works on committees at her church, and is a board member of the Greater Bridgeport CROP Walk.  A retired Chief Probation Officer, she spends a lot of her time volunteering in the community.  She worked for a brief time as the manager of a non-profit financial empowerment center and was responsible for assessing the financial needs of lower and middle-income earners.  She recently retired as an Adjunct at Housatonic Community College and is seeking the next adventure of her career.  She has also served on the Stratford Board of Education Strategic Planning Committee and the Stratford Juvenile Review Board.  She has a B.S. in Sociology from SCSU and a M.A. in Community Counseling from Fairfield University.  Diane is a fanatic about health and wellness and delights in any conversation related to improving one's health.  She lives here with her daughter, Jessi and she is pleased to be working with the Stratford Community Fund.


Fran Carson
Francis (Fran) is the founder and principle of Chapel Wealth Management, LLC He also worked at Investment Solutions, Inc. from March of 2001 until January 2007 where he managed institutional pension and 401(k) plans.  Prior to that, Fran was with Asea Brown Boveri (ABB).  From 1990 to 1997, he developed and managed risk systems for ABB’s treasury management group before joining the pension management group in 1997 where he stayed until joining Investment Solutions. From 1989 to 1990, Fran was with Manufacturers Hanover in their derivative products area and, from 1987 to 1989, he was with Salomon Brothers in their interest rate swap group. Fran graduated from Daemen College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He also has a Master of Science degree in Finance from Fairfield University.  Fran has also completed his course studies in financial planning.

Patricia Morrissey

Patricia A. (Tish) Morrissey is a lifelong Stratford resident.  She is a graduate of Bunnell High School, Bridgeport Hospital School of Respiratory Therapy, University of New Haven, University of Bridgeport School of Law and Fairfield University.  Tish has been volunteering in the greater Stratford community for 35 years in many capacities.  She is currently employed as a school counselor at Stratford High School and also as an attorney in private practice.  She is excited to return as a volunteer to the Stratford Community Fund.
